To accomplish great things, we must dream as well as act.

Anatole France (1844 – 1924)

Realise your ambitions

Do you have goals that you´ve postponed because you didn´t know how to reach them or because someone else told you they were unrealistic? Do you want to become more efficient and less stressed at work? Do you want to become a healthier person, maybe lose weight or improve your fitness? Or do you just want to bring structure to your life and get to know yourself better? It is possible to reach your goals, to make your life better than it is today, to feel good and balanced in yourself. Coaching can help you to realise what you want and help you to get there in a shorter time than you think.

What is coaching?

The core of coaching is to help a person change in the way he/she wishes and help the person go in the direction he/she wants to go. The coach supports the client at every level of the coaching process in becoming who he/she wants to. Coaching techniques can be applied to any aspect of business or personal life and anyone can benefit from it.

It is important to understand that coaching is not therapy. While therapists have many similar skills to coaches, there is a fundamental difference: in coaching, the client does not have feel there is anything wrong with him/her when entering the consultation process. Coaching starts from a goal orientation and helps people to achieve their highest potential. Focusing on the present and the future, it helps the individual to evaluate his/her life in the light of his/her ambitions. By exploring the present, the individual is assisted while constructing a path towards the future he/she wants.

Coaching helps people to identify:

  • what they want to do – to set goals both in the short and long term
  • why they want these things – to connect with their deepest values and motivate themselves
  • how they can achieve their goals – to make a powerful action plan

The Coaching procedure

In coaching, the client owns the result. Client and coach are accountable for the process, but the client alone takes responsibility for the outcome.

The procedure is mainly based on action. Client and coach agree on how the client will act differently and move forwards to reach his/hear goal.

Throughout the coaching relationship the coach does not teach the client, but facilitates the learning process. Confronted with direct and challenging questions, the client is supported by the coach to find the resources and answers within him/her that can help reach the desired goal. The answers to the questions might have been present all the time, but the assistance of the coach can shed light on areas that the client had previously been unable to identify on his/her own.

Benefits and results

Coaching is an efficient action–oriented procedure where the client is totally in control of where he/she wants to go. The process is often short and efficient due to fast results from the action and goal–oriented approach and because of the client owning and controlling the process.

Anyone can benefit from coaching; it can be used in any aspect of business or personal life. It is not necessary to feel bad or to have a problem when contacting a coach, instead it can merely be because of a desire to change the status quo and improve life in general.

Coaching has many benefits. The individual will not only get to know him or herself better, becoming more in touch with deep personal values, but also achieve more balanced in life. Through the action–oriented approach the individual will also learn how to be more present, productive, efficient and creative. The coaching process will not only help the client reach the desired goal but improve his/her life in general and instil the confidence that anything is achievable.

Coaching standards and ethics

The relationship between the coach and the client is based on good communication, respect and trust. Everything shared during a coaching session is treated in the strictest confidence. As a member of the International Coaching Community (ICC) — one of the largest professional membership organisations for coaches in the world — IN-Tuition Ltd. and Isabella Nitschke apply the key competencies required for certification within the ICC as well as the standards and ethics set up by the organisation. For more information on coaching and the ICC please visit the International Coaching Community homepage.

Coaching sessions and Appointments

IN-Tuition Ltd. offers coaching to both private individuals and businesses and their employees. Sessions are mostly 1-1,5 hours and must be booked in advance. During the first session the coach and client will decide how the coaching procedure should continue and when it should end, depending on the issue under discussion. Sessions can be held at the client´s preferred venue: at home, in the workplace or at the coach´s practice.
